How you care for your own emotional well-being

As a counsellor: going to my own therapy and supervision helps me process what's come up for me in sessions, as well as connecting with my counsellor peers (over tea and yummy food) to make sure I don't become isolated now I am working by myself.



As a human being: having time for hobbies (art/reading), making sure I move my body (whether it's walking, or yoga or cycling), being out in nature and spending time with people who matter to me are all ways I take care of my emotional well-being
