What happens in the first session?
We will fill out a client contact form together and read through the contract together. Once you've had a chance to ask any questions you may have, we will both sign the contract. The rest of the session is yours to discuss reasons for counselling and give me any background information you're comfortable sharing.
What is your cancellation policy?
Fee is refundable if you have to cancel 48 hours in advance. Or 50% refundable with 24 hours in advance. Less than 24 hours notice and fee is non-refundable.
How long does a session last?
Counselling sessions last for 1 hour. At any point in that time, you are free to leave and are under no pressure to use the whole time. Sessions cannot go over the allocated hour.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes, what we talk about in counselling stays between you and I. There are exceptions to confidentiality (safeguarding risk) which are set out in the counselling contract. This can be requested before the initial session.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a difficult question to answer as it varies greatly. Some people may access counselling for a few sessions and others may stay in counselling longer-term, depending on their reasons for attending.
What are your prices and payment options?
Pay as you go: Face-to-face sessions are £45 p/h.
Young adults 16-18 years £40 p/h.
Online/phone sessions are £40 p/h.
3-6 session block discounts available.
