Highly Sensitive Personality

At the end of May, I attended the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Conference in Somerset.
As both a counsellor and a HSP myself, I was reminded that sensitivity and experiencing the world deeply is not something that needs fixing. Quite the opposite! It has many strengths: empathy, creativity and a deep capacity for connection
Yes, being highly sensitive can be exhausting and overwhelming. From struggling with criticism or conflict to burnout from trying to meet everyone's needs and feling misunderstood or "too much".
Counselling can offer a space where you feel understood and don't need to minimise your feelings or explain why something affected you. It can also help you recognise your needs, manage overwhelm and your nervous system and build self-compassion through working with it rather than against it.
If you're a highly sensitive person who would like support, I'd be happy to hear from you
