For me, boundaries aren’t built keep people out, they're built to keep people in your life in a way that doesn't negatively impact you.
Boundaries in counselling helps the relationship feel safe and steady. They give clients a clear, predictable space where they don’t have to guess. This might mean limiting contact between sessions and consistent session times for example.

In person-centred work, boundaries are about having a place to land which is steady and where real connection happen. It's about being professional - and focusing your needs/goals and not my own.
