A journaling prompt for emotional awareness

"Is there another time in your life when you felt like this? What happened then and how does it relate to what's happening now?"



I feel this question can really invite people to make connections between past experiences and the present - and to build self-understanding about when/how/why certain emotions come about. It's helped me to take time to notice patterns which I may have missed had I not processed it by writing it out.
