I've gone with likening healing to stepping stones. It's important to go one step at a time to move forward rather than taking one giant leap. There may be uneven and wobbly steps and you may slip, but that's okay, it will take courage to get back up to progress (even the tiny steps matter!) with the healing process You may need to pause on each step for a while, but it is possible to get across, and to heal! Excuse the clichés!

A safe space isn’t just a quiet room with comfy chairs (though they help!)...it’s a feeling.


It’s knowing you can turn up exactly as you are, without being judged.


It’s where your thoughts and feelings don’t have to make sense yet, and your get to explore them at your own pace.


It’s somewhere with permission to be honest, to be messy, to be human
